how to put songs in blog?

to wat i know, there r 3 ways to play songs in blogs...

1) play ONLY 1 song in the background of the blog with an embeded code, this is the simplest way... u just need to upload the song to an online storage place, n paste the link of the song in the code...

i'm using sg.geocities.yahoo.com to store the songs, but it could only store max 15mb n can only upload any file tat is less than 5mb

since the song is played in the background... therefore it will auto play, n there's no "stop" button

CODE:

the LOOP=TRUE will make the song play over n over again, if it's put to FALSE, it will only play once...

EXAMPLE:

go to ur blog, Layout... Edit Html... u can put the code anywhere in the template... but to simplify things, just scroll down to the end of the template n put the code above the /html tag

2a) play only 1 or more than 1 song with an embed mini windows media player in the blog... similarly, the song need to be uploaded somewhere... n the link of the song is pasted in the code... of cus the code is different...

CODE:

some meanings of the codes in here:
param value="true" name="AutoStart"... the player will auto play, if "false" u will haf to click play urself
param value="full" name="uiMode"... player will haf full function, or "mini" will just haf play/stop/volume functions, or "none"
param value="9999" name="PlayCount"... u can limit the song to play as many as 1 to 9999 times
param value="true" name="enabled"... this will enable the controls of the player (eg. play/stop)
param value="false" name="enableContextMenu... this will prevent anyone from right clicking over the player

EXAMPLE:

this code can be added to the blog by using the "Add a page element" function in the Layout... choose "html/javascript", then put the code in there n save it...

2b) in order to play more than 1 song, u need to upload all the songs somewhere 1st... next, u need to write a code in the notepad n put the links of the songs in the code, then save it as .m3u file...

CODE:
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:ARTIST NAME - SONG TITLE
LINK OF UR UPLOADED SONG
#EXTINF:ARTIST NAME - SONG TITLE
LINK OF UR UPLOADED SONG
#EXTINF:ARTIST NAME - SONG TITLE
LINK OF UR UPLOADED SONG
#EXTINF:ARTIST NAME - SONG TITLE
LINK OF UR UPLOADED SONG
#EXTINF:Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love (EXAMPLE)
http://sg.geocities.com/...../bleedinglove.mp3 (EXAMPLE)

after tat, u need to upload this .m3u file somewhere (geocities cannot accept .m3u files)... next u just need to paste the link of the m3u file u uploaded, into the code as in part 2a
EXAMPLE:

3) the last type is to create a playlist at some online music sites eg.http://www.imeem.com/, u need to sign up of cus(its free)... then either upload ur songs or use the songs already uploaded by other users in there... create a playlist n put the songs in it...

then copy n paste the code they provide at Layout, "Add a page element" n choose "html/javascript"

one thing abt this site is some of the songs(mainly english) r copyrighted, so can listen only 30sec, unless the song is uploaded by urself... also it needs time for their database to update, meaning the 1st time u upload tat song, u might only be able to listen to 30sec of it... but it will be alrite after a day or less...

Hi there,

read your blog about how to upload music to a blog...

I'm not sure how to do it and I'm not very good at IT...after reading your suggestions, decided to try your method no. 3

I've signed up an account at - http://www.imeem.com/ and also uploaded some songs to my playlist in imeem.

you mentioned i've to copy n paste the code they provide at Layout but I can't seem to find it. Can you tell me where is it?

thanks for your help. i'm planning to include music in my blog -

hi... i think the way i phrase it was abit misleading...

i meant that... once u uploaded some songs n put it in the playlist, u just need to copy the code of that playlist from imeem, and paste the code in ur blog at the layout
