slow down or keep pace?

sometimes i wonder... should we slow down n look around us n see wat's happening to the ppl/tingys surrounding us... cus we live in a world tat time doesn't stop for anyone, so i dont tink we haf time to slow down...

then again, if we dont stop once in awhile, we might miss out some important tingys... well, if we dont rush, we cant get tingys done either haha :P

anyway... i had all these thgt cus on my way to supper just now, i saw an old man wif a stick trying to walk up the pavement from the carpark n to the flight of stairs down to the HDB... i could see he really was struggling to lift himself up to the pavement... so i slowed down my pace... as i was approaching him he turned his head n spoke in malay, as he heard my footsteps n i assumed wat he was saying was to give him a hand... so i did... just support him up the pavement n he told me he could handle the rest... but he kept saying in malay n i could only ask him 'can?' 'can?'... he just kept saying can... so perhaps my job was done...

does tis action haf anytingy to do wif slowing down our pace in life, u might wonder... normally, i guess ppl would just hack care abt weak ppl around us n proceed wif our own, cus "we haf more important tingys to attend to"... leaving the weak to suffer... actually all we need to do is just to stop, n offer......... but i do... sometimes... on the road, anywhere... seen some1 in need n yet hesitated to help... n sometimes i just can't be bothered... i wonder how so?...

n yet just now i offered to help... maybe assuming i was the only one around in the carpark n so near tat old man just now, so i helped... maybe other times, i assumed others would help the ppl in need so i didnt offered to help... hai~ sometimes i dont understand myself...

anyway, we slow down... ppl say time dont wait for nobody, n we only haf 1 life to live...... but when we rush into tingys, they say wats the rush...

take for example relationships, we cant rush into them yah? but we cant stop n wait for it either... cus u might just miss out on certain chances... so wat to do? Let Nature Take Its Path? hahaha

wat's urs is urs... wat isn't, no use fighting over it... or does all these only apply for losers? when we make up excuses for losing out on sometings/someone...

hai~ humans... so hard to understand...
